2. What documents should be submitted to the Selection Commission by a foreign citizen?
- Application form addressed to the Rector
- Certificate of secondary education (the original) and a list of studied subjects and examination grades.
- Certificate of completing the full course of the Preparatory Department at a higher educational establishment.
- Passport and a legally verified copy of birth certificate.
- Medical
certificate issued by a national health care establishment of his/her
native country certifying the absence of contraindications for studies
at the medical educational establishment under the climatic conditions
of the Republic of Belarus.
- Certificate of a
negative HIV-infection reaction issued by an official health care
establishment of the candidate's native country.
- 8 (eight) photos, 3x4 cm.
3. What medical certificate should be submitted to the Selection Commission by a foreign applicant?
A foreign citizen entering the University should
submit Medical certificate issued by a national health care
establishment of his/her native country certifying the absence of
contraindications for studies at the University under the climatic
conditions of the Republic of Belarus. After arrival to Belarus, a
student will pass medical examination at our student's clinic. If any
discrepancy is detected between Medical certificate issued outside
Belarus and the results of medical examination in Belarus, an applicant
will have to leave.
Certificate of a negative HIV-infection reaction
issued by an official health care establishment of the candidate's
native country should also be submitted.
4. What should I do if I want to study at the university but don't speak Russian?
An applicant whose level of Russian is insufficient
to study at the University can be enrolled for preparatory courses
where he/she will study Russian language and another subjects depending
on the chosen field of studies.
Foreign citizens who completed the full course of
the preparatory department (preparatory courses) and who successfully
passed final examinations and have certificates of completing the full
course of the preparatory department are enrolled to the university
without entrance examinations.
If an applicant doesn't master Russian language and
doesn't pass final examinations at the preparatory department, he/she
will be sent down and will have to leave Belarus. In some case repeated
preparatory course is allowed.
5. What is the age limit for graduate students?
To enter Brest State Technical University an applicant must be not older than 30 years.
6. Is accommodation available at the University hostel?
Accommodation at the hostel is available to foreign students (single bedroom).
7. Foreign students are obliged:
- to observe The Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Belarus, to keep to internal regulations of the University;
- to carry out the instructions of the University governing body;
- to get and increase their knowledge in the chosen field of studies;
- to
attend obligatory lectures and seminars, to fulfil the tasks stipulated
in the curriculum, to pass credits and examinations in time;
- to receive a corresponding permission of the University authorities when going outside Belarus;
- to pay tuition fees according to the contract in time and in corpore.
Foreign citizens who don't carry out the above obligations are sent down and must leave Belarus in a month's time.
Foreign students who commit a crime or
administrative violation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus
bear the responsibility for their activity in accordance with the
legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
8. What are the terms of documentation admission?
All the documents are to be submitted in one of the following languages: Byelorussian, Russian, English, French or German one month before the beginning of the academic year.
9. When does the academic year at the preparatory department begin?
The academic year at the preparatory department for the entrants who don’t know the Russian language begins on October, 1.

12. What is the cost of living in the Republic of Belarus?
The average cost of living in Belarus (accommodation, board) in the city of Brest is 300$ per month.
13. What is the financial responsibility in case of the student's deportation, how much is actually involved?
The financial responsibility includes the cost of the flight from Belarus to the student’s native country and about 100 dollars for a several day stay before the deportation.
14. What documents should be submitted by a foreign citizen to receive invitation for studying in the Republic of Belarus?

Documents are to be marked "Application for study" and sent to university by the post service.
