From September 21 to 25, Brest State Technical University warmly welcomed a delegation from Southern Federal University (SFedU). This visit was part of a special program of popular science visits aimed at strengthening scientific contacts and exchanging cutting-edge research between higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
The main objective of the visit was to expand scientific interaction, stimulate creative initiatives, and exchange innovative projects among young scientists from the two universities. In a short period of time, the delegation met with BrSTU leadership, learned about the unique scientific infrastructure of our university, and participated in a rich program of events.
During the visit, engaging excursions and a variety of events were organized, allowing guests to gain a closer understanding of the life and achievements of BrSTU:
- Meeting with Management – A meeting was held with BrSTU Rector Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich, during which prospects for further cooperation and the development of joint projects were discussed.
- Laboratory Tours – Participants were introduced to BrSTU's modern equipment and research areas.
- Overview of Iconic Sites in the Region – A trip to the Polesie Factory and the Kobrin Butter and Cheese Factory introduced guests to the production processes known far beyond the borders of Belarus.
- Visit to Historical Sites – Excursions to the legendary Brest Fortress allowed guests to experience the spirit of the heroic past and the courage of its defenders.
Immersion in Nature and Cultural Traditions – A trip to the famous Belovezhskaya Pushcha allowed guests to enjoy the splendor of Belarus's natural heritage and the traditions of the Belarusian people. Following the visit, SFedU representatives highly praised the program's organization and content, noting the high level of organization and the extensive opportunities for deepening interuniversity cooperation. They expressed confidence that this experience will significantly expand scientific horizons and strengthen partnerships between the two leading universities.
