Today, October 1, the anniversary international conference "University Library Management" opened at the Scientific and Technological Park of the Belarusian National Technical University "Polytechnic." The forum brought together university library directors and staff, academic representatives, and publishers from Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
BNTU Vice-Rector for Research Ksenia Valentinovna Yakushenko addressed the participants with a welcoming address, noting the importance of libraries as drivers of quality education and research.
Brest State Technical University is represented at the forum by Library Director Yulia Vyacheslavovna Azarkevich.
The first day's program included plenary sessions on library development in the context of digitalization and the era of open scientific knowledge, discussions of modern technologies and new interaction formats, and an interactive World Café-style session, "The Library of the Future as Seen by Users."
The conference will last three days, concluding on October 3. During this time, participants will discuss key trends and best practices in university library system management and develop joint solutions for the continued effective functioning of libraries for the benefit of students, faculty, and researchers.
