As part of the gala event "Connecting Generations: Builders for All Time," our university welcomed a guest of honor—labor veteran and Honorary Builder of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus, Grigory Konstantinovich Fitsuk.
In his speech, Grigory Konstantinovich shared the story of his professional development with future engineers, students of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction. He spoke about his choice of life path, the importance of a vocation in the construction industry, and his participation in the implementation of significant national projects, including the "Courage" monument and the "Bayonet" obelisk at the Brest Hero Fortress complex.
His talk placed particular emphasis on the continuity of generations: he proudly noted that the construction profession has become a family affair, and that today, the third generation is following this path. Grigory Konstantinovich's grandson, Stanislav Zoshchuk, is a second-year student in the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The meeting culminated in a formal awards ceremony. At the request of the faculty's leadership, Grigory Konstantinovich Fitsuk personally presented the students with certificates conferring their professional qualifications as masons and painters. This symbolic gesture underscored the importance of passing on experience from industry veterans to the younger generation of specialists who will shape the appearance of future cities.
We express our deep gratitude to the distinguished guest for his visit, invaluable experience, and personal contribution to the students' professional development.
