The graduation ceremony for the first graduates of the joint educational program between Brest State Technical University and Xinxiang University in Mechanical Engineering Technology marked an important milestone in the long-standing interuniversity cooperation.
This innovative project was launched more than five years ago with the signing of an agreement between the then Rector of BrSTU, Alexander Gennadyevich Bakhanovich, and the Chinese side. The program is unique in that students study all four years in China under BrSTU's educational programs, with a third of the courses taught by faculty from Brest. During their studies, the students not only received solid professional training but also successfully mastered the Russian language.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Xinxiang University Rector Li Guanghui, who presented the graduates with Chinese bachelor's degrees, and BrSTU Rector Andrei Nikolaevich Parfievich, who presented 112 graduates with Belarusian state diplomas of higher education. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of government agencies in Henan Province (PRC), future employers, and the graduates' parents and friends. Many have already expressed their desire to continue their education and enroll in a master's program at BrSTU.
We wish the graduates successful self-fulfillment as engineers, creative courage, and inspiration. We are confident that the knowledge they have acquired will serve as a solid foundation for their future professional careers, and that they will carry fond memories of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation throughout their lives.
