A team from Brest State Technical University (BrSTU) successfully represented the university at the 3rd Union State Student Tourism Rally. This major event, which brought together over 200 participants from leading universities in Russia and Belarus, took place from September 26 to 28 at the "Mukhino" sports and recreation center in the Tver region. It was organized by Pskov State University and the Association for the Development of Youth Active Tourism.
This was the third edition of the rally, held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia and the Ministry of Education of Belarus.
Over three action-packed days, BrSTU students competed in a variety of disciplines, testing not only their physical endurance but also their ingenuity. The rally program included:
rafting and kayaking, a ropes course, knot-tying, and orienteering using a map and compass
workshops on wilderness first aid and a lecture by a representative of the "LizaAlert" search-and-rescue squad on the specifics of searching for people in the forest
a cozy evening by the campfire with guitar songs
The primary goal of the rally was to strengthen friendship among the youth of both countries. Students exchanged experiences regarding their tourism clubs, learned about the tourism traditions of different regions, and developed new joint routes.
Congratulations to the BrSTU team on their impressive performance!
We extend our gratitude to the rally organizers and the hosts for the warm welcome.
