On September 22, an open dialogue with Sergei Mikhailovich Maslyak, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, was held at the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology at Brest State Technical University. The event was attended by Vadim Olegovich Lagunovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection; Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, Rector of BrSTU; Anna Igorevna Karoza, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences for Ideological and Educational Work; as well as students majoring in Environmental Protection and representatives of the faculty's student body.

Opening the meeting, Sergei Antonovich, Rector of BrSTU, emphasized the importance of environmental education for future environmental engineers and expressed gratitude to Maslyak for the opportunity to hold such an important discussion.

Sergey Mikhailovich spoke to the students in detail about the priorities of the country's current environmental policy, outlined key areas for reforming the environmental sector, and revealed mechanisms for engaging the younger generation in active environmental protection.

The minister paid special attention to the first steps of aspiring professionals. Sergey Mikhailovich personally presented their grade books to first-year students majoring in "Environmental Protection."

The students showed keen interest in the topic of discussion and asked the minister a number of questions regarding the environmental situation in Belarus's regions, employment prospects for graduates majoring in environmental science, and opportunities for participation in government programs.

Concluding the meeting, the minister encouraged young people to be active participants in the conservation and restoration of the country's ecosystems, emphasizing the role of engineering and modern technology in ensuring Belarus's environmentally sustainable future.
