On September 22, 2026, a preventive awareness session was held at the Faculty of Economics. Second-year students met with Alexander Sergeyevich Pavlyuchik, an inspector from the Public Security Police’s Law Enforcement and Prevention Department (Brest City Moskovsky District Administration), and Ivan Andreyevich Korzh, a senior operative from the Cybercrime Counteraction Department.
The specialists provided the students with a detailed breakdown of current online fraud schemes, explained the rules for safe online shopping, and outlined effective methods for protecting personal data from malicious actors.
The experts placed special emphasis on the legal consequences of participating in illicit financial schemes. Law enforcement officers stressed that a lack of awareness regarding the criminal origin of funds - or handing over one's bank cards to third parties in exchange for payment - can lead to serious legal repercussions, including criminal liability.
The meeting took the form of an open dialogue. Students actively asked questions, analyzed real-life cases from the officers' professional experience, and received practical advice on protecting their accounts and funds.
