On April 25, Brest State Technical University became a venue for the international historical event "Victory Dictation" on the theme of the events of the Great Patriotic War. The event is designed to increase the interest of young people in studying the history of their people, to cultivate a sense of pride and respect for the exploits of their ancestors.
The event was held with the support of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (Russian House in Brest). In total, more than 120 students from schools, colleges, military units of Brest, as well as students of our university and Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin took part in the dictation.
The Rice-Rector for Academic Work at BrSTU Andrey Nikolaevich Parfievich addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and passing on knowledge about those terrible events to future generations. Andrey Nikolaevich noted that the "Victory Dictation" plays a key role in shaping the civic position among young people. This project helps preserve the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War and strengthen patriotic feelings.
The participants of the dictation had to answer 25 questions about the events of the Great Patriotic War, individual battles and battle heroes in 45 minutes. The results of the dictation will be known in a few days. One hundred participants-leaders of the republican rating will receive commemorative certificates.
The "Victory Dictation" became an important part of the events dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, allowing the participants to once again remember the heroism of Soviet soldiers who brought peace to the whole world.
