No statute of limitations...

On the day of remembrance of the Khatyn tragedy, in the assembly hall of the Brest State Technical University, a meeting was held between the Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the city of Brest, Pavel Gennadievich Krupenich, and the students. The topic of the meeting was “Investigation of the criminal case of the genocide of the Belarusian people: restoration of historical justice.”
In a dialogue with students, Pavel Gennadievich spoke about the active work being done to study new materials from the investigation of the criminal case into the extermination of the Belarusian people. This work is especially relevant now, when in some countries they are again trying to revive Nazism with the active assistance of Western countries.
The Senior Assistant Prosecutor cited shocking facts and quantitative data about genocide, death camps and ghettos, and the barbaric methods of atrocities against people used by punitive forces. Large-scale work is being carried out, a large number of people who witnessed those terrible events have been interrogated. Unfortunately, there are very few of them left. Numerous archival documents have been retrieved. The investigation is ongoing, but it can already be argued that the scale of the tragedy of the Belarusian people is much greater than previously thought.
Pavel Gennadievich reminded those present about the laws “On preventing the rehabilitation of Nazism” and “On the genocide of the Belarusian people,” which were adopted to suppress attempts to falsify the events and results of the Great Patriotic War. Our state ensures the preservation of historical truth and memory of the heroic feat of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. The investigation into the genocide of the Belarusian people is a tribute to the memory of the dead, innocently killed citizens of our country.
At the end of the meeting, the documentary film “Ozarichi Concentration Camp. Conveyor of Death” was shown.
